Who Are We?

SPB Robotics is a student-led, mentor-guided program that thrives on collaboration and dedication. We believe in providing ample opportunities for students to take on leadership roles and contribute to the team’s success.

Our Goal

We aim to foster a dynamic learning environment wheres students can explore their passion for engineering by equipping them with both technical and non-technical skills. Through this we strive to ignite and nurture a long lasting enthusiasm in the STEM field.

Program Structures

Varsity Teams (FRC 10252 and FTC 31131)

  • Designed for students with a high level of commitment and a drive to compete at an advanced level.
  • Requires enrollment in an Honors Robotics course.

Junior Varsity Team (FTC 21781)

  • Designed for students new to robotics or with a lower time commitment
  • Provides a welcoming space for members to learn, grow, and gain hands-on experience.

Our History

2022

In our inaugural season, FTC Team 21781 Mecha Lions earned the prestigious Judge’s Choice Award and became the captain of the finalist alliance.

2023

The Mecha Lions continued their success, securing 2nd Place for the Think Award. Following their lead, VEX Team 40507A, Army of Baby Flywheels, received the Create Award for their innovative design solutions.

2024

We expanded our program with the introduction of FRC Team 10252 Mecha Lions. In their rookie year, they made a significant impact at the Silicon Valley and East Bay regionals by advancing to the elimination matches and winning the Rookie All-Star Award.

2025-2026

We are excited to launch our newest team, FTC 31131 Electra Lions, as we continue to expand opportunities for students.
